Raneem Elkhamisy

Raneem Elkhamisy is a CIRM Bridges Intern at the Nakauchi Lab. Originally from Egypt, she earned her Bachelor's and Professional Master's degrees in Clinical Pharmacy from Mansoura University. After working as a pharmacist for two years, she moved to the United States and is currently completing her M.S. in Molecular Biology and Microbiology at San José State University. Raneem is passionate about stem cell biology and genetics, with a particular interest in novel gene therapy approaches such as Secreted Particle Information Transfer (SPIT) to treat inherited disorders. Outside the lab, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, watching films, and reconnecting with friends.
