Kyomi Igarashi
Postdoctoral Scholar

Kyomi J. Igarashi is a Postdoctoral Scholar in Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at Stanford University, working in the Department of Genetics under the mentorship of Dr. Hiromitsu Nakauchi. She completed her Ph.D. at Stanford, co-advised by Dr. Nakauchi and Dr. Julie Baker, where she specialized in hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) biology. Kyomi works on projects in both the HSC and interspecies fields. She has worked on optimizing and characterizing the mechanism of the PVA ex vivo HSC expansion system throughout all the stages of mouse ontogeny. She also studies the genetic basis of evolutionary change in pregnancy and development in interspecies systems.
